It is that time of year again! Each fall the Indiana Chapter of Meeting Professionals International and the Indiana Society of Association Executives come together to bring industry professionals the CrossConnect event.
This year the event will be held on November 16, 2011 at the JW Marriott downtown. Attracting nearly 200 professionals from across the state, this is the opportunity to connect and learn from your peers while enjoying a day full of great education, speakers and networking!

Can you believe that it’s already November? If you’re like us, these last two months are going to feel like two weeks! As you begin to create those checklists to help you finish 2011 strong, be sure to put renewing your ISAE membership for 2012 at the top of that list. You will soon receive your membership renewal invitation from our hard working ISAE staff. They are hard at work putting together another excellent year of professional development and networking opportunities. We look forward to receiving your renewal.
ISAE recognizes that our members are our most value resource. With a wealth of experience, remaining engaged with your peers through ISAE is one of the best opportunities for you as an Association professional. While you may not be able to attend all of our live events, we invite you to stay connected through our ISAE’s online presence through LinkedIn. There is both a main group for ISAE Members as well as an ISAE Membership Subgroup established to facilitate ideas and discussions related to the topics of membership. Both of these groups have created as a direct ISAE member benefit and are open for all ISAE members.

ISAE STAR Awards Event
The 10th Anniversary of ISAE’s premier event, STAR Awards, is right around the corner. This event recognizes excellence in association management and thanks volunteers who have supported ISAE throughout the year. We will be holding the event on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library. We are hoping to add a few extra special touches to make the night even more special for attendees.
We are asking for your help. We are asking our members if they would be interested in donating items for our Silent Auction. We are accepting any type of donation item for the silent auction. Here are a few examples of what we have received in previous years:

Association News
ISAE has been asked to help with the 2011 fall CAE exam on Thursday, December 2. The National Chimney Sweep Guild has been kind enough to offer their facilities for testing. Mark McSweeney, CAE and Melissa Heeke, CAE have graciously offered their services as proctors for this exam. A big thank you goes out to them!
