CAE Commission Lifts Domain Cap

The CAE Commission has announced they are lifting the domain cap for the 100 hours required. This is already in effect. Candidates will still need the 100 hours within the last five years, but there is no cap for how many hours can be obtained in each domain. ASA has currently updated this information on their application and website.

To learn more about earning your CAE, visit the ISAE website for study sessions and test dates on the ASAE website!

Young Professionals Perspective

Red Carpet Member Service- Miranda Barrett

By: ISAE Headquarters

If you work in associations or the service industry, you are more than likely interacting with members and clients on a day-to-day basis. I know at ISAE, we have over 350 association and supplier members. As hard as we try to communicate and help every member, there are going to be days when that just does not happen. Providing our members with a memorable experience is something we strive for every day.

According to Red Carpet Member Service, creating a culture of good customer service is a long-term process, but the benefits to your members and your staff is worth the extra effort. Are you going the extra mile to ensure member satisfaction?

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) decided they were going to make customer service a top priority as a tool of retention and as a value of their team. They have over 7,000 members in 40 different countries. So if they can do it, we can too right? They have outlined six steps in helping secure stronger relationships with your members and clients.

  1. Start With the Best and Never Stop Training

  2. Mistakes Are Opportunities

  3. Examine Every Interaction

  4. The Abundance Mentality

  5. Be Proactive

  6. Measure Your Progress

Because I am still fairly new to the association world, I am learning every day what it takes to go above and beyond what my members expect. Reading this article has really opened my eyes to the meaning of “member satisfaction.” Building long-lasting relationships with your members is a key component to the success of any organization!
