ISAE recognizes the diverse needs of a highly skilled membership by providing education programs tailored to fit your individual needs:

• Chief Executive Officer
• Convention/Meeting Planning
• Sales/Marketing
• Government Affairs
• Membership Development
• Financial Management

• Communications/Marketing
• Legal Issues

This year, the Professional Development Task Force agreed on the importance of focusing on the ASAE's Job Analysis results as the basis for ISAE education initiatives. The analysis included a survey of hundreds of association professionals on the scope of their work. The results changed the CAE exam to ten domains of knowledge including:

  1. Strategic Management
  2. Planning and Research
  3. Leadership
  4. Administration
  5. Knowledge Management
  6. Governance and Structure
  7. Public Policy and Government and External Relations
  8. Membership
  9. Programs, Products and Services
  10. Public Relations and External Communications.

Each of ISAE's programs for 2008 fit within one of these domains. More than

40 CAE hours can be obtained through ISAE programs this year. These hours

can be used when applying for or renewing the CAE designation. In addition,

programs have been aligned with levels of experience: Introductory,

Intermediate, and Advanced. This will allow our members to decide if the

program is designed for them or what additional staff could benefit.

ISAE seminars will keep you informed of the latest in association trends, forecasts, philosophies, legal issues and technology. In addition to seminars held throughout the year, ISAE has an Annual Convention and Educational Conference. This program highlights the different educational "tracks" with highly-focused seminars. Whether you are new to the industry or at the top of the field, ISAE has a forum for your continued learning.
