About TKE

Founded January 10, 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University, Tau Kappa Epsilon is the world’s largest social fraternity with chapters on 276 campuses in the United States and Canada.  TKE has initiated more than 250,000 men since its founding.  The Fraternity aims to build better men for a better world.

In the summer of 2008, TKE began a rebranding exercise with the help of a marketing and advertising company. After developing a new look for the entire organization, the next step was to update the most seen part of the organization: the website. With the guidance of the same outside company, TKE began the process of transforming existing content into more audience specific sites that was consistent with the new brand. The results include three separate sites: tke.org, jointke.org, and individual chapter websites which TKE offers groups at no charge. The official sites were launched at TKE’s Biennial Convention in August of 2009.
