Letter from the
Executive Director
It's hard to believe that another year at ISAE will
soon be coming to a close. As I reflect on 2008
and our members so many great things come to mind.
Our excitement upon successfully changing the State of
Indiana Nonprofit Corporation Law. 44 hours
of successful educational programs that provided so
many of us with the opportunity to grow as association
professionals. And who can forget the fun of our
infamous 5:05's?
As you reflect on this year I hope that you too
have good memories of the opportunities for education,
networking and fun that your ISAE membership
provides. Providing our members with what they are
looking for to grow both professionally and personally
is important to us. As we begin to plan our
programs for next year, we are using your feedback to
make next year's education as beneficial as
possible. As our membership continues to grow, I
am convinced that 2009 has the potential to be our best
year yet! With the end of the year
quickly approaching, I look forward to you renewing
your membership for 2009. Keep you eye out for upcoming
information on 2009 renewal! I am
excited for the opportunity to continue to work
with you and hope that you will contact me if there is
ever anything that I can help you with.
In Service,
Leslie Murphy, CAE, Executive

Who Says.... ISAE
membership provides both association professionals
and their suppliers many opportunities to network
with each other and to find solutions to the
challenges that face them. Hear from some of
our members on how they feel they benefit from
their ISAE membership:
"ISAE
offered me resources and community in 2008.
The resources came from other professionals in the
industry helping me with the business of
associations whether in education, meeting venues,
speakers, or problem solving ideas and approaches
that face us everyday. I have not found
a better community of association executives to
develop professionally and have fun while doing
good. You need to consider joining
ISAE."
Jay Dziwlik, MBA, CAE
"Working
with nearly 100 associations across the U.S. each
year has given us a unique appreciation of ISAE.
Association executives who are active members of
ISAE are noticeably more informed, confident and
progressive in their thinking than many of their
peers. I believe that ISAE's education and
peer networking have helped to build those
qualities."

| CAE? |
|
| Professional Growth is
Key
As an associate professional you recieve a
unique opportunity to support, advance, and
promote association membership and the association
profession as a whole. If you are looking to stand
out among the crowd and be at the top of your game
then acquiring the CAE designation is a great way
to do just that.
In the state of Indiana there are only 82
association professionals that currently hold the
CAE designation. If you are planning on sitting
for the CAE exam we suggest attending CAE study
sessions lead by an industry leader and CAE
professional. As a member of ISAE you can benefit
from the FREE study
sessions to help you prepare for the CAE
exam.
