Book Review

Made to Stick Authors: Chip Heath and Dan Heath

This is a great resource when you're not feeling creative or you can't boil down the message you want to get out to members. This book explains why people remember some of your messages (and not even necessarily the ones you want them to remember) and forget others. This book talks about why urban legends survive and how you can create stories that will get your organization's message through the clutter and make them stick around just like an urban legend. It's not easy, and most importantly, you need to prioritize what you want to accomplish. My favorite quote from the book is "If you say three things, you don't say anything". Prioritize.
