For associations and nonprofits, the path to achieving its goals begins with strong leadership. The relationship between the staff executive and the Board Chair/President heavily influences the organization’s overall success from year to year.

In order to flourish, this relationship must be a true partnership. Therefore, it is imperative that both partners maintain a clear understanding of each other’s perspective, the balance of roles and responsibilities, and how the other approaches problems and makes decisions.

The Executive Partnership Forum features facilitated conversations and exercises to maximize the strength of this partnership. At this unique program, veteran association executives will work with your leadership team to:

  • Establish mutual understanding of roles and responsibilities
  • Determine leadership strategies and tactics that work best for your organization
  • Develop a plan to maximize limited time with your entire Board throughout the year
  • Shed light on how to work with each other most effectively

“Stepping away from the daily routine to collaborate seems like a sacrifice of time until you do it. It is clear this investment will pay for itself in an ongoing way because we better understand one another's perspectives.”

“I was glad when I realized we do some things well and had my eyes open to other things we should be doing. I need to attend this program EVERY time we have a new Chair. It is good for both of us!”

“This was a great opportunity for the board chair and me to hear the same information, and then discuss and consider making changes with the information learned.”

“It was a good opportunity to get on the same page with my Board Chair.”
