Join your fellow members for breakfast, networking time, and a quick education session to kick off your day. Prepare for a conversation about programs that highlight the importance of both retention and recruitment. Come ready to learn from your peers and think about ways your own organization is using programs or other tactics for recruitment and retention. The team from KDP will share a case study on how they improved member engagement. From Care to Connection: Enriching Member Lives for Greater Engagement
In this case study, KDP will share how they strengthened member engagement by intentionally designing for the member experience of Care—supporting educators as whole people. They'll share how insights from member listening shaped The Rooted Teacher by KDP quality-of-life initiative and how we reinforced that work through a Care Member Action Team to build stronger connection, belonging, and sustained engagement. They'll highlight what they built, how they promoted it across channels, what results they saw, and a few practical takeaways other associations can adapt.

About the Speakers
Christopher Whited, BS, CAE, AAiP As the Chief Experience Officer for KDP, Christopher oversees the Member Experience Team. He has been working with nonprofit organizations and associations for more than 25 years in various capacities from marketing, fundraising, and event planning to membership, resource development, and program operations. Christopher received the ISAE Association Professional of the Year in 2020 and the ISAE Volunteer of the Year in 2023.
Raevyn Harris, BA, AAiP Raevyn Harris serves as the Director of Digital Marketing at KDP, where she helps lead member-centered marketing and communications strategy focused on storytelling and connection. In her role, she oversees KDP’s social media, photo and video production, and The Rooted Teacher by KDP, an initiative designed to support teachers both in and out of the classroom. Raevyn received the ISAE Rising Star Award in 2023.
Gary Del Vecchio Gary has been in various sales roles for over 30 years driving membership and sponsorship growth, largely in the sports industry. Gary received a BS in Physical Education from University of Rhode Island and a Masters in Sports Management from Springfield College. He has worked in sales and sales leadership for the past 24 years – for sports organizations such as USA Hockey, USA Football and Game Plan. An active volunteer, Gary supports Gleaners Food Bank and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful in addition to coaching.
