New to the association world? Associations 101 is your gateway to understanding the fundamentals of association management. Designed for professionals in their first few years in the field—or for anyone seeking to refresh their foundational knowledge—this half-day program dives into the core elements of what makes associations thrive.

Whether you work in membership, events, governance, or communications, this session will help you connect the dots across departments while building your confidence and skillset. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to meet peers and form valuable relationships with fellow association professionals.

By the end of this program, you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of your role within your organization and the broader association community. Content will be tailored around the Domains of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) exam, ensuring relevance to core industry knowledge.

About the Facilitator

Karyn Sneath is a 30+ year professional with a background in leadership and organizational development. She's a passionate and attentive steward of organizational values and behaviors for her own company and those of clients. Because of that mindset, Karyn is a strategic planner with a keen focus on mission, vision, values and corresponding organizational goals.

At heart, Karyn is an educator and facilitator who has designed creative programs that are interactive, hands-on and memorable, developed for real-world use. Karyn has developed and delivered workshops, programs and conferences for over 750 clients over the years.
